Governance and Leadership
Decades of governance and leadership management experience
Our College Executive brings decades of governance and leadership management experience from Christian and independent schooling, business and church networks.
Together, they are responsible for the vision, direction, and operation of the College. As passionate Christian educators and leaders, they support the mission of the College to develop students as Christian disciples, preparing them for life, and empowering them to achieve their personal best.
College Executive
Principal
For over 30 years, Mrs Ruth Gravestein has been an educator and leader at 51СʪÃÃ.
Her journey began as a primary teacher, educating and ministering to our students for 13 years. She was appointed Head of Primary in 2007 to pursue the best outcomes for students, to encourage staff, and to build community with parents. In 2022, she was appointed to lead our college as Principal and continues to serve and lead our community, ever committed to holistic Christian education.
Mrs Gravestein is involved in other areas of education, serving as a Council member of Christian Heritage College, on the Board of 51СʪÃà Childcare, and more, embracing a wide spectrum of educational engagement.
Assistant Principal
Mr Chris Eustace brings a wealth of experience to the College, with a strong background in various roles across academic, pastoral, and co-curricular areas in prestigious independent schools in the United Kingdom. Mr Eustace assists the Principal in the operations of the College to manage and deliver whole College projects, and oversee College faculties that span both Primary and Secondary levels.
Head of Primary
Mrs Kim Piercey has gained a broad range of curriculum, administrative and pastoral experiences working mostly in large Christian schools throughout her 20 years in education, internationally and nationally. Her substantial understanding of leadership is of great benefit to the College as we continue the successful development of the Primary school as well as the implementation of the next Strategic Plan.
Head of Secondary
Mr Cameron Ivers joined the leadership team as the Head of Secondary in 2022. In a short space of time he has been successful in continuing to develop the Secondary school, supported by the Secondary Directorate, Heads of Learning Areas and Heads of Year, who are valuable partners in the education process.
Head of International
Dr Lillian Myers is the founding Head of International, and has served in this capacity for over two decades. With a wealth of experience as the former Head of English at 51СʪÃÃ, she brings extensive applied knowledge from her Master’s degree in TESOL and a PhD in English Literature.
Business Manager
Mr Dan Joy serves as the College’s Business Manager, overseeing property, operations, administration, risk, facilities and finance.
